Government statistics are flawed when it comes to the economy. The unemployment rate is actually quite a bit higher due to the fact that many things are not considered. In actuality it's more realistically around 15 -20%. That said, I don't think the Obama administration is entirely responsible for lack of growth. It takes years for these bills to get drafted, passed, implemented, and to take effect. If Romney were to become president and our economy started to take off within the first couple years of his presidency, it would unlikely be because of anything he did, although, he would be the one to get credit for it. Same could be said for all the credit that Bill Clinton got when we had the best economy ever. It's very possible that it was because of investments from the reagan or bush years that eventually paid off, not too mention the internet boom. So I think there is a lot of credit and blame that goes around that has nothing to do with what a politician did or did not do.
