I know I'm a bit late in replying to this but I've been away for a few days so I've only just seen this. Umm, thanks for the accusation I guess, but at least that means you read it To be honest, I'm about 99% certain I've not ripped off another story here(not entirely anyway but I imagine *someone* in the past has written about a poor Latino girl getting fucked over when sneaking into the US...) but yes parts are from TV shows or comics/books that I've re-worked into my own story. I don't really want to rack my brains to tell you where every sinlge piece of inspiration came from but the major points(as far as I'm concerned anyway) would be the ride from Mexico which was VERY vaguley ripped off from Breaking Bad(Series 2 when the Terminator Twins come after Walt, if you've not seen it then do, it's awesome), so vaguely that even if you watch the episode you may not realise which parts I'm refering to. And the genitalia removal was kinda stolen from Preacher by Garth Ennis(awesome 9 part comic series, pretty brutal) other than that it's just a mash-up of various crime thrillers and documentaries and stuff(there *are* woods in Central Park right? I've never been that side of the Atlantic...).

And the show you can't remember the name of with Chuck Norris... If you mean Walker: Texas Ranger, I think the subjects of slavery, whoring and genital mutilation are a bit too much for that show(it used to be on Saturday afternoons in the UK).. I've only seen a few episodes but I don't think they even show blood during gunfights... I can imagine a similar story being on CSI though to be fair, although for that much of her story to come up, I'm pretty sure Veneria'd have to be dead already
