If PIPA and SOPA got passed, I am fucked out of my job, as I rely on the internet for my residual income. That means if this shit goes through, I'm going to have to get back to retirement. Fuck that haha

but seriously, this shit has been going on for years. They already started the first step by throttling bandwidth in North America. Next is shutting proxies to sites like thepiratebay and tvlinks.

This is America's way of implementing their "anti-terror" campaign, as we all know that online piracy goes directly hand in hand with terrorism

This reminds me of when they introduced the Patriot Act in 2001. We lost all our rights as citizens of the U.S. This will be the same thing for online. The government will be able to step in and say "NO!" to ANY website they want, without rhyme or reason.
