Ya, everyday operations will be closed down IE federal parks etc, but the neccessities will still be there IE fed prisons. However, what really pisses me off is they are going to have our service personell will go without pay. Yes even those that are abroad right now. Nothing like putting your life on the line for literally nothing.

Yes, I read about this ealier! It sucks. It said that they would delay payment to troops who are fighting for our country!! Sorry but I think that is bullshit!

Thing is with the troops I heard CNN specifically state that the troops would go without being paid even though they technically would still be earning a paycheck. Meaning "IOU's" would be going out. Fuckin pathetic considering an E4 right out of boot gets less than 2k per month yet a senator gets 100k+/year. And even though they get an IOU so much for their mortgages or families during that time ya know.

Reminds me of the big fire outbreak in Montana in 2000. Had so many fires that some were unstaffed. Long story short, it took several months for us to get paid because of the back log in the system. Nothing like sitting on 30 grand that you earned working 16+ hours a day risking your life and you get that "IOU".....

That aint no shit right there Eazyas. And that's an old game as well. I could see something like that for people that are stateside, not being apart of the "essential" functioning government (though troops are essential). But to say that about the troops, man they are just begging for civil unrest.

That's something I have been trying to find an answer to Philthy. I have seen no such information stating that politicians will get a pay cut. Go figure and if I recall, not too long ago, they voted themselves a raise.
