I went back without cashing out to another section of the prison and you lose all the money?

Can this be corrected?  You shouldn't lose all of your funds just because you don't hit the "cash out" link when you decide to leave.

Well I am testing the game was going to upgrade to "respected" status, but I am not going to pay real money if my money just "disappears."  Thanks for the response Whisky Man

You shouldn't base your impressions of this game on blackjack though. Blackjack is still fairly new and no one ever complained about this before. I'm sure if they feel the cashout system is "broken" that they will do something about it.

You should remember that Prison Block is still in beta stage and their team is constantly improving and adding new features to the game. You can see by looking at my Incarcerated time that I'm fairly new myself, but if you want my personal opinion of this game and their team, I can tell you that I'm gladly impressed. After all, I did purchase a respected upgrade.

Yeah, I was just a little disappointed after spending my money only to have that happen.  I should have stated it better, I am not going to continue to spend money on a game where things "disappear."  I have played way to many games where bugs like that spread like wildfire and the next thing you know your items, etc disappear.

I think this game is pretty cool as well.  Don't even know how I stumbled on it, but it seems to be pretty entertaining.  I will give it a second chance, obviously with my job and long hours I won't be on as much to really get the benefit of "respected" status but it should help make up for the offline time.

I will give it a fair shot, and since the BJ is in beta now I further understand.  Thanks again Whisky Man, I appreciate the response and your vote of confidence.

While I do agree with you, Compton, that the mechanics of the cash out system in Blackjack Lockdown has its flaws, they're there for a reason. I know that one rason is so that players can't hit the back button after a horrible hand in an attempt to regain cash lost on a bet.

I'd say your money never disappeared, you simply didn't cash out to get it. While I agree that it sucks that you lost the money for good, and I'm sorry for that, I wouldn't go as far as to say it was the fault of the game. You can only buy in with up to $1000, so how much can you really lose?

I responded to your mail.  Well if I walk out of a casino with chips in my pocket, they are still in my pocket.  If I walk away from a table, my chips still sit there.  It was an accidental misclick.  I understand the reason it is there (for the back button cheat), but at the same time you should be able to go back into blackjack and the balance should be $1xxx, not zero.  That was my only point, if you had chips still on the table they would still be there.  Obviously you couldn't turn them into cash until "cashed out" but your balance should still remain on the table.  Now I know that would be a way for people to hide cash as well, which would create another problem.  It isn't that big of a deal, just bad timing as I explained in my response to you through email.

I will live, after all this is a game about prison, stealing and robbing.  So it is only fair that the shady blackjack dealer does the same as the rest of us.

There's no shady blackjack dealer here lol. It's a simple case of the user forgot to cash out... there's no game flaw there. You basically buy in with up to $XXX and when you're done playing you have to cash out. If you forgot to cash out, you didn't get robbed, you just forgot to take your money with you.

As you said, there are too many ways for people to abuse the system if we start storing money in games or not debiting cash as soon as you start playing. So it basically comes down to: cash out when you're done playing.

I'd also like to edit this to add that this game is 100% supported by myself on the code end, and Tommy on the flash games end. So if there's ever some rogue bug where people start losing money or anything else (like Eminstein losing his cell upgrades) we'll take care of it and make sure the bug is fixed.

Simply put, we're not just kids who installed a game script for the lulz. A lot of time was put into this game and I naturally want to make the best of it. Tommy is also working really hard on the flash games end to add more cool things to do other than crimes etc. So I just want it to be clear that we're dedicated and not some fly-by-night thing.
