It is fairly odd that Silver is actually following gold. "Back in the day" ( if I am not mistaken-just some info passed on to me ) Silver used to be the opposite of gold IE up when gold was down and vice verse. Just goes to show you how bad the worlds economy is. Silver is sky rocketing and so is gold.
Reminds me of when I was an underground miner ( for those that don't know Au is the periodic symbol for gold ). I was mining it when it was $400 an ounce. The president of Newmont Gold came across the local news and said gold would be well over 1k within a year or two. lol I called up my old man to have him switch some of his retirement portfolio around to precious metals and told him the info I heard right from the horses mouth. Um, ya, he is now kicking himself in the ass.....
I heard another tid bit as well Eazyas. Gold is supposed to be upwards of $2400 an ounce in about a year, maybe 2. I have no money to invest, but if you do, might be something to look into.
