i agree, getting scammed for game items is one thing, but when you're involving real money there are 3 options...

- implement a system that prevents that (but then mu is on the hook if something does go wrong. that's definitely not cool, and people will find a way to game the system)

- stop buying/selling for real cash

- notify people here who scammed you so they know, and open a dispute with paypal to get your cash back.

personally i'd go for option 2 or 3, don't trust anyone you meet on the interwebs

i know.. i just think that making the direct connection with them for like the 200 + people who probably use paypal for items/ amens would be the hard part.

If people stopped selling/buying for real cash how else would you sell rare items. Sell them for 10's of millions of game cash. Only a few can hold game cash without getting mugged

if he programs the interface for it, i'm not sure that's true. but even if he wasn't on the hook for the money, he'd still have to deal with the bitching and crying if something went wrong.

I'm just playing devil's advocate, but the same way there are a couple "xxxxxx scammed me" threads daily, i could see 2 or 3 "mu scammed me" threads just as easy. look at how many "i didn't get my favors" posts there are, despite the hundreds of times he's said it's outside of his control. The simplest solution is don't support the people that buy/sell for cash, buy favors and support the game.

you used to be able to buy bags of coal for 100k or new dvds for 50k, with enough time, the market would adjust
