i have 5 years auto experience mostly on domestic cars...i work part time in a repair shop with my dad who has 30 years exp..i guarantee he has more knowlegde than most mechanics that went to school for repair work..if i dont know..ill ask him what he thinks

with that said..im looking for some game cash...if your having a problem with your car...i will give my best shot at telling you what i think is wrong...some things u can fix yourself...some you cannot

if u have a check engine light on...it will need to be scanned at like an autozone or o'reillys first...they will try to sell u somthing im sure...but 99% of the time thats not the prob..thats why you should just get the code and ask me...(free advice that prob just saved you $100)

i dont know what to charge...if i cant help you its free...if i do help you..you owe me something...mostly want gamecash..but if your lower level..we can work something out

keep in mind i mostly work with domestic cars...certain things on all cars are similar..some are completely different

first 2 questions will be free!

Perfect timing ......

Question Nick, installing a new serpentine belt , is that something anyone can do or do you need special equipment?

Oh yea, I drive a 2010 Toyota camry

you can do it...but im not postive of the set up..most modern cars have a belt tensioner..a spring loaded pulley...there will be a 3/8 square hole in the arm of the pulley and you use a 3/8 drive wratchet to lossen the belt

I don't know if its broke, ripped loose or what. She didn't know/ remember what the mechanic said was wrong with it. Replacing or fixing the belt no matter what's wrong with it or does it depend on what's wrong with it.

I just know the basics. Changing oil, tire rotation, brake pad replacement etc

how many miles?...i cant believe a belt broke or wore out on a 2 year old car...i can see a bearing locking up and burning up the belt...in which case its more complicated...you take the belt off..and then just spin all of the pulleys you see...if one dont spin freely...that maybe the problem

Same thing I thought ... Not to mention toyota's are arguably the most endurable cars. Them and Hondas.

But no disrespect to you or ya dad but you know you can't trust a mechanic
