After a possible HIV exposure:
An HIV test will not detect the presence of the HIV
virus immediately after exposure. Statistics show that 96% (perhaps
higher) of all infected individuals will test positive within 2 to 12
weeks. In some cases, this may take up to six months.
Think about this: if you got a negative test at six weeks, would
you believe it? Would it make you less anxious? If so, go for it. But
to be certain, you will need to be tested again at six months.
oh joy more tests and more stress atleast i can worry about it later, so who wants to remind me in september cause i will forget or maybe my doctor will remind me cause when i here a doctor speak my ears seem to turn off
Well i'm off for the night but jc if u want to post more infon on this i will read it tomorrow hopefully its helpful info, and whether my doctor lied to me just to take the stress off me well then i'm not complaining.
Celsk you dont even know me, but nice to have you back. I read it up and the site I went to said its more then rare that it takes up to 6 months. and mostly found between week 2-3. Even though that is possible it could be later. It also said there are things you can buy to test yourself at home but it only test HIV-1 which is probably what you have since its once again.. more then rare to have HIV-2 aside from West Africa.. But thats if your just as lazy when it comes to the doctor as I am..
P.S.. All this info was from some med site by a doctor. Or atleast thats what he said he was :..
FUCK me this guy is amazing in a coma on a life support machine...tells his m8 to come on and train...with in a few hours he has recovered and is back on the game...AMAZING...HIV tests due to a bit of blood being on him from a fight!!!!...Mental they didn't make the other fighter take a full medical pre fight, and that they let him fight with a hiv test hanging over him!! WOW...All I can say is I am glad you are better...can't wait to see what happens next your life sounds like a story........lol
Celsk, been there re the HIV test after taking blood through a fight (for me it was an infected needle-using junkie)
Uncomfortable but the odds are with you, your blood pressure makes it hard for someone else's blood to force it's way in, especially as you were fighting at the time.
Glad to hear you're back and in one piece

Weel its Dave again Andrew is back in the hospital. He called me to pick him up at 3:20ish in the morning to take hm back to the hospital because "man you got take me back my chest is killing me" so I picked him up and took him back. He did'nt tell me anything on the ride back but I got his laptop back and I still get to work today. Knowing him he will be back out later today and knowing him even more he didn't take any of the medication given to him so maybe he will start today.
well it was more then a few hours but he won't admit it and maybe he should have stayed in the hospital
Man get better soon your killing me over here. send me an email when your back on bro.

Celsk, you are apparently human like the rest of us. Maybe it's a good idea to take those medications despite principals or
whatever.
