Surely the name change'd add a new element to the game. I mean, in real life, if a prisoner goes underground, then you could probably find out who (s)he is, by asking around, knowing the right people, et cetera. Could that be implemented here?

if you put a cap on how many name changes allowed, that wont really be a factor
