I don't think it's in his interest to answer this question. He's a programmer and is developing a game called prison block, that's all you really need to know.

Over 100 men wrote books to be included in the bible, most scrapped later on. They were then put up to peer review by a committee of government officials. This committee was headed by Constantine, who finallized this book to be made in order to quell the masses. This was done because the vast majority of the Roman Empire was ready to revolt against the government due to Constantine's beliefs and decrees. He then had a massive change of belief, adopting this new religion known as Christianity. This religion, that preached that even the poor everyman was rewarded for his obedience to the faith, served as the perfect controlling factor he needed in order to continue his rule almost unabated.

BTW, what you say about religion is true for western religions, Dave. Eastern religions are very different: Buddism, Confusiousism, Hinduism, Taoism. These religions serve more of a lifestyle than as a coping device. Actually, they are quite amazing in their entirety. Taoism itself is almost impossible to fully comprehend without knowing the language it was developed for. So much for convertions.

Well, there ya go.

Huh? lol, I was asked to do this. I cant not say something when a thread like this pops up...

BTW, Im not really bashing Christianity. I actually condone Christians, I think without them the world would be much more pessemistic...

Heh, yeah....once it starts hitting the eastern end of the scale, I just think of chinese moral values a couple hundred years ago, and that more or less sums it all up.

wonder if Mufasa is religious?and DAMN dave you really know your

stuff. Have you taken an apologetics course or something?

 Nope,

I just read a lot of stuff...used to be religious, then read too much stuff, read into the stuff too much, got interested in farrrrr too many things at once, and it kinda went out the window when I said 'Viva Science!'

That and the fact I'm from N.Ireland....sorta really burns that religious side out of you if you don't wana spend the rest of your life hunting dickheads on the streets in either a rangers shirt or a celtic shirt....probably one of the best places to grow up if you want to see what religion & the troubles it brings along with it.

Not EVERY religious person will cause trouble, but the herd of sheep that claim to be religious as a means of justifying their unjustified hatred for a reason that 99% of them do not fully understand the full concept of (protestants remember the william of orange story at the battle of the boyne, and honour his memory with an annual marching season....funny story is, the first ever orange man, william of orange, was technically a catholic.....so why do these protestants who do not like catholics, near idolise a catholic figure from the past? cos history is written by the victor) what they are doing, following or trying to achieve.

Same with the suicide bombers.

Religious fanatics that just go 'pop' believeing he's a martyr and getting his 72 virgins (lol, irony) are one thing, but many of these christian fanatics, the ones wearing the sandwich boards exclaiming you're going to hell lest ye repent, if they were born in a different country, they themselves would be wearing a bomb.

lol - I just hate this topic.
