I just mugged 2 level 9's and both with different speed but relatively same exp gain

sweet baby jesus and the orphans,.. i see im getting nowhere here....

if i mug a level 20, ill gain around 8mill exp... if i attack said level 20, ill gain around 20k exp.

my question is, why is mugging huge gains compared to shithouse gains from attacking??...

for mugging, base speed doesn't matter, it's the speed in your cell (after modifications) along with the speed and exp of the person you're mugging (i think).

attacking, i believe you only get decent exp for beating someone with more exp that you have.

once you hit a certain level, mugging seems to be the only thing to do to feel like you're making progress. I can train 600k stats in a day and not gain 1% or I can gain that in a few minutes of mugging. There's definitely a balance issue at higher levels.

thanks steve, this is what i fear. and so with this it would make sense that i have poor speed compared to our friend. say woodssn for example, who has been level 25 for 1 week and is now 40%exp, compared to my 5 weeks , and 50% exp ?

so to conclude, gaining exp @ a high level is all about speed? low speed? youre fucked.

its both really, as i see some lev 26's attacking lev 20's and below for exp. my problem is that these attacks are pointless as you'll gain more from training/criming etc.. or at least i do.

ps

Exp from mugging is based on current speed, and if you mug someone with higher speed (maybe they're on low stamina) your exp gain is enormous (60m exp gained when my speed was 30m)

I also use to gain millions in exp if I beat someone just slightly higher than me in exp but the same level

I concur with steve's analysis

ye fair enough. but if i mug someone, say PFCwhite, level10 with shitty speed, i can still gain around 3mill exp. however, if i attack say DRSS level 24, i gain about 25k which is totally worthless and yet i still see some higher levels attacking for exp. this is what puzzles me..
