I kinda confused myself so Im not sure if Im right anymore but I was referring to this from kingtommy

- Also, the game was built to allow you to send messages and money to other players, not items or amenities. Putting things on the market as a means of "sending" it to another player is actually getting around a system that was intentionally built into the game. So the general stance is "tough shit" if it doesn't work out the way you had hoped when somebody snipes your goods

Originally posted by Mufasaz Hey folks,

As previously mentioned, one of the things I've been working on is a trading/escrow system. I didn't release it before I went away because I noted a lot of ways it could be abused (i.e. sending items to users so you don't get raided, and getting them back if they don't accept the trade etc) and so it's been re-envisioned. I'd like to outline it here to get the feedback of the community.

Any rational suggestions are welcomed.

Trading/Escrow System:

Trades will be conducted as "escrows". Basically this means that you discuss with the other inmate what you'd like to trade, and once you agree, you set up an escrow.

Both players deposit the items and cash that is up for trade, and once both parties agree that everything looks good, the items/cash will be released and the trade is complete.

When creating an escrow, both sides of the trade will be charged fees. The tentative pricing goes something like: 10% of all cash being offered and then there will be tiers of fees for items.

For example, there may be a "package" that is $500 and allows you to trade up to 6 items. Perhaps one for $1000 that allows trades of up to 15 items etc.

At this point, I'm unsure if the fees should be split between the users, or if the initiator of the escrow has to pay it (or have an option so you can select who pays: 50/50, initiator, or other party).

on a side note i wish he did this

Basically we all see that things are changing everyday! And staying updated on the rules is a must!

Okay... i just read all of this... first off... none of you have considered that maybe it isn't just the actual transacting that gets you banned... maybe there are messages and other evidence that staff read that they make their decisions based on... WHO KNOWS... it is all speculation at this point.

I would like to see U back...

hmmm in general... being firesaled these days when a person has a decent cell is a good punishment for actual cheating... ... as often people will have spent real life money... i think items could be stripped also... which would make it harder as well... i don't know...

What i do know is... that from reading this thread... there are still some things which aren't clear around the rules... and some things that have become clear through hard out examples ... like this recent one...the unclear things that i can see are like

transferring items in the yard between marked dupes... is that ok

whether two players one account is legit has been a question that has come up previous... and could be something that couples or family members use to minimise the duplicate account question...

and is there away that we can find out out if we are marked as duplicates with someone... other than the random send money to them thing...

Were there any other things that were unclear... cause if we get a list together perhaps we can get some clarification on them...

Yeah it seems to me staff needs to have a meeting and clear these things out because if one says one thing and another says something else then its confusing at best.
