anyone else hear about this bullshit. im not positive of all the details but i was talking to my friend about it today...the republicans passed some shit to get it put off for another week - but if there is a goverment shutdown everything that is considered a non-essential goverment service will shutdown including internet, mobile, cable, my unemployment, possibly people's social security and anything federal or state that pays u. wtf is going on?

Yeah unless you are a federal employee it isnt as big of a factor but if your a Goverment employee then most likley going to be a funding furlough for the next pay period meaning half or no pay.

Unemployment isnt run federally its by state. If the shutdown takes place it will affect Fed. Gov. Employees getting laid off

yea my boys still in the navy were telling me they werent going to get paid for at least 1 pay period - they stationed over in japan - my 5 yr contract just ended feb.5th - thank god... couldnt do it anymore - too much bs

I'd still keep my ear to the ground about vets benefits and post enlistment programs. They may be hit as well OR might be on the chopping block for the "revised" budge. Cause god knows you guys need less pay and the politicians need to keep their $174,000 a year for causing this shit. "Sarcasm" by the way.
