No disrespect at all here. What happened was horrible and everyone still needs to go a long way. However, hey Jshank, you see that blurb up there that says "send sympathy to Irish"? You ever wonder why that was? Because during the civil war times Irish were treated ( in some cases ) worse than slaves. To further expand on this the English took roughly 900,000 Irish people within a decade in which 500,000 of them were killed and the rest sold as slaves around the mid 1600's.

Again, no disrespect at all, but my only remembrance/holiday ( whatever you want to call it ) is a fucking joke where "Everyone is Irish, lets get drunk".

People are horrible to each other and were even worse back in the old days. The only thing that will really make a difference is when the majority of the populace takes their heads out of their asses and realizes that hate, name calling and all the petty bullshit only hinders humanity.

Happy Black History month to everyone celebrating. Me, ya, I'm gearing up for my one day where people think it's all fine well and wonderful to call me a Mic.

EDIT: Again I posted this with the utmost respect to people of all ethnicity. I just feel that we as humans in general have a lot of dirty little secrets when it comes to this type of history.

Happy black history month everyone !

its been one year since this thread has been made & hopefully we all one year smarter and has learned a little more on black history.

Black history is the shortest month of the year. Not because of any bad reason but the idea was first proposed in February to appraise blacks & Abraham Lincoln so they stuck with the month of February.

I'm just glad they didn't damn it negro month!
