this is true... but it is also nice to have a day to make a fuss of the people who brought you into the world... like a celebration of fatherhood... my dad is an ass... but i still love father's day as it gives me a chance to think about how important dads are...

It is not like a group of fathers got together and was feeling unappreciated on the third Sunday of June and decided to make it a holiday, and I use the term holiday loosely because any holiday that doesn't get you out of work and/or school is a bogus-lame one.

I just think father's day is just another gimmick for commercialism to make another dollar, like I said before you don't need a day to tell you to be nice to your father.
