hey all, im looking for solulations for this problem, please bear in mind i have been up from 6am uk time trying to figure out this solulation, so if anyone has had this problem before please lend a helping hand.

SOLUTION:

- TRY random button fixes before resorting to this. As you risk your iphone being damaged or voiding warranty.

- SEARCH youtube: open iphone (to find how to open your iphone. it's pretty easy actually)

- open iphone (well duh)

required tools:

- small phillips head screw driver (the kind from your local $2/discount store) note the screw size on the bottom of your iphone.

- dry steady hands (do not rip apart the iphone cover)

- suction cup (e.g. from a GPS holder) or a VERY small prying object (...)

- you will see a few stickers labelled 1 to 6. (LOOK ONLINE for pictures, optional)

- stickers (2) and (3) will overlap, so you might only see (2).

- sticker (1) however, should be visible. if it's not, it is stuck to the iphone screen. (refer to internet pictures or youtube to confirm where it is... from memory it's next to 2 & 3, but on the screen portion so it only appears as a black blob... as the number-side is stuck to the screen in case you were wondering)

IF sticker (1) not visible

- pull it off the iphone (screen portion, {cf. board portion}). it has glued itself on.

Cable 1 is currently detached.

- reattach it (might be a bit finicky; just picture yourself trying to plug in a miniature multi-pin power socket with your entire thumb obscuring your view. nothing to it)

- the attachment point should appear as... well the opposite of the plug. basically a bunch of gold pins. (or was that the other way around)
