what id do first is look at the design if it was exactly what u wanted then id just trace it on the carbon paper and get ready to roll.....depends what it looks like really could always try and add my own twist to it....i freehand a lot of skulls koi carp few dragons but not a lot get asked for welsh dragons (national flag) random stuff really just practice and staying in the routine when i draw i still use the same technique as when im tattooing for eg....u start here X----------------------------------------------X u must finish at the end of the line , top to bottom no stoppages or u get knots like this ----------------,--------,------------ its good to get in the routine of drawing like this if u wanna start doing tattoos
