Joplin, MO - Relief efforts.
Hey everyone. I'm sure by now we've pretty much all heard about the tornado in Joplin, MO. It didn't leave much behind, which means that there are families without homes, clothes, food, etc. Let's do all that we can. I'm organizing donation collections through friends and family in 2 states and will be traveling the next few days to load up my truck (and trailer if need be) and will be heading that way with my 6 1/2 month old boxer puppy and a high-school friend to do what we can do.
I'll be setting up a Facebook page and networking with my other site Hike For The Veterans and The Mission Continues, the organization I work with, as well as past sponsors from my Appalachian Trail hike such as Blue Ridge Mountain Sports and Mountain Hardwear. I'll post that information when things go live.
Everyone, please do what you can. I don't care if it's a can of green beans from your cabinet or a box of old clothes from your closet. If you can't make it out there to lend a hand then stop by your local American Red Cross and donate an item toward these relief efforts.
Thanks,
Casey Fulp / 18Delta
