No, the King of France wanted the Templar disbanded because he was jealous of all the money they was making. The pope intervened with them and tried to have them saved but they admitted to all sorts of blasphemy and were burned at the steak. And I know about free masons but again I don't see the relevency, in fact the free masons ran ads here in my state for an open house at their lodges. I'm well aware of them, just because someone doesn't agree with what you say doesn't mean "oh no they don't know teh truths!"
