Now about the stats. I always try to use the gym as much as I can. Being new we need to relax and not jump to far ahead before we can defend our selves. So what you first want to do is built up your defense and speed all crazy. Before lvl 4 you should have at least 600 defense, 600 speed and 600 attack. I focused on Speed and Defense first. You do not want to jump lvls before you can defend your self so relax and take your time.
