Does anybody have any good tips on limiting data usage for internet?

Im already running chrome incognito with no images.

Is there anything else I can do to limit how much data im using?

settings somewhere, even easier on phone web browsers

settings/ show advanced settings/content settings/ do not show images. just found out about this last night....it really helps speed things up

if ur on a phone, you can shut down apps.that ur not using, sorry,thats all i got

hmm what exactly are you looking to have happen make pb run faster on your phone? cuz pb runs great on mine i was actually training on it pretty steady the other night lol

Im actually looking to make my laptop use less data per load of the screen. I made my phone a hotspot yesterday so I can connect my laptop to it, and while my phone has unlimited data, the hotspot caps at 500 MB per month. Which seems like it will go quick because I used a good chunk up in one day =[.

But any ideas on how to limit phone and computer data usage can be shared

do you want to just monitor it, or physically limit it? i have a handy app on my droid that shows upstream/downstream speed in the status bar, and i have an app that shows my current usage in real time and I could configure it to what my plan permits (i still have unlimited mobile data) What are you doing that is consuming so much data (tough to find a way to limit something, when you don't know what it is). If it is hours of porn, well then lol.. good luck. if there are sites you often visit like espn for example, you might be able to find what on their page is heavy data, and use something like a pop-up blocker to block that specific content. i'm not a computer expert, just a thinker.
