I would like to take this time to thank a man that has changed the way of life for many of us. He showed us all regardless of race that we can co-exist with out violence and do so through communication and hard work and determination. His dream was for everyone to live in peace and obtain goals in our life. Happiness, peace and prosperity, was just a few of the things he wanted for all of us.

Equal opportunity, and equal rights were a couple of things he dedicated his life for minority's and he did so until his last breath. Some of you may not understand the magnitude of his legacy and I am also guilty of this but we all have to work a little harder each day to give back and pay it foward. Broaden your knowledge on matters that are unfamiliar to you in order to escape idiocity before making judgements. Enrich your life with healthy knowledge to nourish your mind.

Im by no means living right but I like taking a step in the right direction and doing something positive makes me feel a little better about my life everyday. Have a good day everyone and take a sec and think about if MLK jr. didn't make all those sacrifices how would your life be different?

Martin Luther King

What can I say

About MLK

But only that he is great

He had a dream

And helped African Americans gain their rights

And closed the racial gate

His speech helped much

For blacks and whites

And for his dream

He was willing to fight

The protests and boycotts

Went on and on

But after his speech

Almost all of this was gone

He was a hero and famous

For just one speech

To him there was no goal

That America couldn’t reach

His faith in America

And in freedom for all

Helped all of segregation

Fall

His words were inspiring

But powerful too

He made

“Liberty and justice for all,” true

So if it wasn’t for him

America wouldn’t be like this today

And it’s all because He spoke up to say

“Let freedom ring”

i wrote that 3 years ago in the 7th grade for a black history month contest for the tri state area... I won
