Me Thinks He Doth Protest Too Much... 

In American English, the phrase "me thinks he doth protest too much" definitely indicates the belief that the subject's ardent denial of being a homosexual is meant to cover up an embarrassing truth.

For example, if you offered Lil_Scrappy some coque and he said:

  • "No thanks. I absolutely hate the cock. Never touch the cock, evah."
  • "I have never ridden the baloney pony and couldn't even imagine what it would be like"
  • "I can't even imagine ever wanting to drink a single drop of someones filthy, mind-numbing baby batter. It's poison to me."
  • "I absolutely don't want the cock. Why would I ever want to suck the snotty end of a fuck stick?"

... you might well think that they were trying too hard to restrain themselves from being involved with taking it. Would you also then be embarrased to explain to him that coque is a pastry?

So, does this make Lil_Scrappy a homophobe or simply one "that doth protest too much..." you decide.
