Pepperspray actually sounds like a good idea. I don't agree with the +energy stat though. Maybe give the player -nerve if they have perpperspray? The criminals tend to have the nerve, and I'd expect defenseless old ladies to have perpper spray, so -2 Nerve or something might be a nice balance for it.

I actually put -2% nerve in my original post and changed it to be consistant with the dumbbells.  I thought the same thing, if you use the pepperspray you should have a negative (nerve) for being a pansy. 

I've put some fo your ideas into motion, others I think are better suited for the equipment panel (i.e. sneakers, pepperspray)
