That's just wrong...you look at the side of poeple that's rich...are you rich? Poor people are extremely hurt by republicans...it shouldn't be so one sided![/quote]

you know though man, everyone likes to blame republicans for being poor.  I don't know, I know quite a few people that are living paycheck to paycheck and they've made a LOT of POOR DECISIONS.  There is ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY.  It's always looking for someone else to blame.  It's always someone elses fault.  Someone put the drugs on the street, someone else put the booze stores in the hood, someone else held them down from getting a job, etc etc.  It is always someone elses fault.    I've made stupid decisions in my life and have to live with it, i'm not out blaming someone else except myself.

I also see people with lots of potential that if they put in just half a shit of effort, they could make something of themselves, but they're too busy trying to find ways to slack off and it hurts them.

who's fault is it when someone bought a house they couldn't afford with an adjustable mortgage and with no money down.  what about the person that goes otu and buys a nice sweet new SUV that costs them $600 per month, when they could have easily gotten a used car for 10% of the price.

Here is a list of stuff... stuff that is provided by the government, funded by those who PAY AN INCOME TAX, for those who need help.  There is so much help out there, but someone has to want to take it and then make something of themselves.

Gas was at over $4 per gallon and dropped to around 1.84 the week after THE ELECTION in 2008.After Obama took office it did go back up. However,(thanks to the poster and fact checked by me) "The price of oil is dependent upon many factors including huge demand by other countries like China, weather patterns, OPEC, The Saudis, and speculators in the market. No president can control the price. The talk of war with Iran can raise the price substantially. The best way to control the cost is to increase mileage. Actually years ago the average car got as little as 10 miles per gallon. Based on a 25-30 mpg the price is not a bad as you think. Get the mpg to 50 and the cost goes down.Obama just passed new mileage requirements."

And such was also a reason for the cash for clunkers program to get those low mileage cars off the street and people into higher mileage automobiles.
