The thing nobody realizes is we were fucked either way. Neither candidate had a viable plan to stop spending NOW. All we heard about here "10 year" plans, guess what? 10 more years of deficit spending and we're completely fucked. Neither candidate understands that a strong dollar is the most important thing - less debt = strong dollar. Clinton had us on the right path there. We need a president who isn't afraid to make tough decisions in order to pay down the deficit, including taxation & reviewing/removing entitlement programs. I would even argue that we need to change the way we do taxes, and move to a consumption based tax system, so that we all pay based on what we spend rather than what we earn.
