Avoid dependence of Machinery and Technology as much as you can.
Learn vocational and traditional skills in farming/cooking/sheltering/medication and as much as relevant things.
Do not build big house. Look for tent kind of house
Buy and use Tarpaulins and threads (Rope). Keep as much you want. Make tents.
Store enough water to drink, if you do not have a river or lake nearby.
Use the domestic used water (Bathing and cleaning water) and direct them to farm area by making streams from bath room/kitchen or ablution area.
Grow most sustainable food and animals, like Sheep/goat/cow/bull. Bull and cow is more useful, it feed large amount of milk, and gives great amount of fertiliser. Grow long lasting beans/peas/lentils/rice and other root vegetables.
The very most important thing is, keep your tongue and body away from things that do not concern you.
Keep high discipline. You need military discipline. The more you disciplined the more you survive. Every undisciplined character is a trap of Satan against you and your community.
Always consult with your community leader.
Never let young people to talk with strangers who visit your place. Designate someone to handle external affairs.
Children, Woman and old age must not go outside of the community, unless accompanied by strong men (Protectors).
Modern education is going to be a waste soon. The qualifications you gained are going to become useless. Learn language and religion and how to make traditional way of living without electricity and electronics and telex-communication.

hokiefanso that means all is well, and I can just go happily on my way and think that things are just magnificent right now. I feel bad for all the folks who were accustomed to working 40 hours a week at a restaurant, just to find out they are getting cut back to less than 30 hours so the company doesn't have to pay a fine. i didn't look, is that a conspiracy theory too?
