Rog its just the truth, and very sad...Its soooo much more to "Im paying for this lazy bastard to not work" ...thats got to be the dumbest shit someone with a 9-5 ever says....your measly bit of taxes dont make it pass the transaction fees of trading with china, not to mention you get income tax and probably lie about that, so who really getting over!?? You got the ability to get a good job, support you and the family, live "ok" and do some fun things outside your home, city, state and some times country....well, living on welfare and unemployment, NO TRIPS, if you got family outside the busline you want to see then tuff luck! want to dress nice for the "good job" interview then tuff luck, want to relax and get some peace and quiet to study, tuff luck its 7 people in a 2 bedroom and sirens ringing all night long! with no internet connections or phone or tv....just a wall and shit going crazy around you! All while that man that own the company cut thousands of jobs to maintain his lifestyles of millions a year instead of keeping jobs and taking a little lesser cut of his humongous profit!

you're preachin to the choir here bro lol... i grew up in poverty myself. luckily i've had a bit of luck in my adult life finding decent paying jobs. I've been on the hiring and firing end also in 2 of those jobs. Not as a business owner but as a supervisor. I've interviewed ppl who didnt really want to work just as hokie said, but i've also been in the breakroom and saw other supervisors joking about and ridiculing applicants who havent had it so easy life and are down on their luck. I dont know if i agree on the 90% part but I'd say more than half of ppl on government assistance wish they didnt have to live that way

I think it is nice to have welfare there if you need it since extreme poverty leads to more crime and incarceration. The current system though is not great. In my state unemployment benefits are almost twice the minimum wage. Stay unemployed for 13/hr or get a job for 7/hr. When government sends a message like that it's no wonder people want to stay on welfare. For those that are able-bodied I think it would make a lot more sense to help them enroll in a work/training or work/study program like they do for students that have recently graduated college. The government pays for a part of their salary enabling employers to hire them for much less, they gain training and knowledge, and experience on their resumes. This would lessen the costs to government and for businesses, while the unemployed would now be able to be productive.

thats what union do...basically but with some differences...

I just believe the penalties for lying to get assistance should be steeper and if it was more known then people wouldn't lie so easily...I also think assistance should not be giving to every child after 4, so the younger gernration wont be so quick to have more babies if the are already fucked up!

jobless claims rise, led by Ohio and PA. This president just strung this country along, everyone knew the jobless and unemployment numbers were bogus. He was all "look how great things are improving" during the last 2 months, and now we are back where we were. What a fucking joke. Now the middle east is blowing up and he's got his intelligence team fucking around with a bunch of broads unloading classified information with them.

But don't pay attention to all that, all is good and we got plenty of hope and change on the way.

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/10/chart-obama-conspiracy-theories

so that means all is well, and I can just go happily on my way and think that things are just magnificent right now. I feel bad for all the folks who were accustomed to working 40 hours a week at a restaurant, just to find out they are getting cut back to less than 30 hours so the company doesn't have to pay a fine. i didn't look, is that a conspiracy theory too?

Those Restaurant owners arent cutting because of Obamacare. They're cutting hours because of politics. And they will suffer because of it. Papa Johns $ .14 per pizza to cover health care is no need to cut hours seeing how they give away millions of pizzas a year! Hey here's a noble idea STOPPING GIVING AWAY PIZZAS ASSHOLE! Not to mention the millions of people who will no longer go to restaurants who wish to punish their employees because their guy lost. Fuck them I'll eat at home!!! Oh yeah They arent trying to avoid paying a fine they dont want to pay for their employees healthcare! GTFOH!

post office lost $16B this year, this is what happens when government runs a business. Fedex earned $2B in profit this year, while providing excellent service.

At what point does Obama take accountability for this economy and the "recovery"?

Have you ever heard of E-MAIL or the INTERNET? That is whats putting the Postal Service out of business. The only thing I mail is my Netflix dvd's ant thats bulk rate so the company pays for it. But guess what I can also watch those movies on the INTERNET! How many E-mails or payments have you made online? Did Obama do that? GTFOH!
