worm,what do you recomend for minimum wage??..lets make it $10 or $20 or shit even $30/hr.....why shouldn't employees of minimum skills and requirements make the same as college grads or trained tradesmen....why not just convert to a socialist type system and everyone makes the same and the government controls the purse springs....i hear what your attempting to say,but theres a reason folks try to better their lot in life,thats to not have to survive on 2-3 jobs that pay minimum wage to survive...why incur 100k of student loans if i can make the same wage flipping burgers at mcdonalds and that pays for my midtown manhatten studio??....and do you really think the fat cats and ceo's are going to feel the pinch of having to pay a higher minimum wage??..hell know,they just gonna pass the increase on to folks who pay for their product,higher costs for everybody..not to mention stats that show a higher minimum wage increases unemployment..why pay 2 guys $10 bucks an hour when i can just keep 1 and utilize overtime as needed??....it's a fucked up system,but my daughters friends outta college with a bachelors and student loans up the ass making $12/hr entry level management and a fast food employee making $10 seems outta whack.

minimum wage workers are either young people and/or unskilled workers, get an education/trade school/special training and give yourself a set of skills for the rest of your life that employers will want and hire for decent paying wages

until you get those skills and get good wages, the young people get roommates/friends to share a place and split rent(if you choose not to live with parents while in school) until you graduate, and be responsible and dont have children if you cant afford to take care of yourself

What happened to the hunger? The drive to succeed? You can't have everything handed to you on a plate, I started out when minimum wage was $4.25 and hr, and it didn't take me long to work my way up and earn more. People are unwilling to put in the hard work now, it's the entitlement generation...

I don't see why ppl complaining about minimum wage. 10$ an hour is still shit can barely live off that. If you only making 12 an hr after degree u picked wrong one. Less u getting healthy raises after short time. I was making well above 12 right out of high school.
