This really is a quagmire..I understand Dem's big picture thinking and not wanting a ww3 in his backyard and the sacrafice a few to save the many..on the other side you have the folks who want to intercede w/ "this" dictator uses chemical weapons on his own ppl..my own opinion is it shouldn't of even gotten this far..I'm not a fan of Monday morning qb'ing and chatised those who did during past quagmires..but the US should of inserted itself as soon as assads goverment started killing it's own ppl 2 years ago..and definately after the chemical attacks...at the least cruise missiles shoulda been in the air weeks ago when the whole world was outraged at the chemical atrocities..now we look weak,undecisive and turned it into a political divide...as far as ww3 Dem,I think you over-rate their actions...russia and china can rattle their sabers,but china wants the money the US owes them,they won't crash the markets and inturn US $$ liquidity..russia ain't gonna do shit,their military is tattered and oil revenues down..they a big dog w/ no bite..iran and the rest are worthless..the US has to hold israel back from wiping them off the map..make no mistake,Israel and Netanahu would love to take out iran and others..and could..syria would collapse faster then the iraqi republican guard did back in 1990 (at the time the iraqi republican guard and army were rated 5th best in the worl)..they rolled over in 3 days....hate to write the novel,wanted to address all points.

i think what demo is trying to say is that if anyone does interfere then the rebels who are currently being funded and helped out tactically by AL-Qaeda will seize control and we will effectively put AL-Qaeda in control of a country

however, the chemical weapons should be taken out somehow, thousands of innocents lying in the streets not being able to control their limbs whilst the Syrian govt just walks into the city wearing gas masks and cleans up is pretty fucked up

if anyone does go in though, syria has had plenty of time to get their air defenses up ready to shoot down one of our planes ... which will mean going against the 'troops on the ground' policy as we will send people in after the grounded pilots to rescue them etc and here comes war

just make a car park out of Syria and nuke the cunts, oh and make it multi-story and put North Korea there too
