Paths
ThyWhis...So as I was walking past your office on my way to the market
this morning, I noticed a paper with a message taped on your door. Strange I
thought. While looking around me to see if that nerd of a guard of yours was
nearby, I cautiously approached myself in reading distance to well, you know,
read. “Gone to buy donuts” was written… how ironic. Thinking nothing more of it
and pumped up to the idea of finally being able to wear that phone book as
protection, I couldn’t help but to be disturbed by some sort of howling sound
that seemingly came from your office.
I was already midway between your office and the market and
since you’re a cheap bastard that won’t feed us for free like other prisons do,
I wasn’t about to waste my energy to go and check what ever the heck that was.
It took me a solid half hour in the market to choose the
right phone book. I also bought a weekly ration of chocolate and water. Damn living
here is expansive… anyway. As I’m finally walking out of the market, I started
wondering again about that weird sound I heard coming from your room.
Coincidently, at that same time, four eyes came out of your office zipping up
his fly.
So I asked your guard if you’re keeping a dog in there. He
didn’t laugh, but he said to me, “lol no”, while turning around and removing
that paper that was still hanging on your door. So I said, “Oh, so the warden’s
back”, by reaction. I’m not sure if he chuckled or not, but he said something
that resembled, “rofl yeah”, followed by a, “do you need something?” I shook my
head and at the same time smelled something awkward...ass or sweat. He then replied
something like “then gtfo noob”. Confused by his inarticulacy, I asked him to repeat.
Next thing I know he’s chasing me up the stairs waving his baton at me. Once
up, he pointed to my cell and gave me that angry nerd look he always make. I
almost laughed, thankfully I didn’t though, or else I would probably be writing
you a complaint letter rather then a suggestion… oh yeah
Something that these browser rpg games lack are the ability
to choose. It seems like our paths are always predetermined. Examples here
would be the stat requirements on the jobs and the inability to choose our new
equipments when lvling up. Now I know that this game is still in development, but
I’m suggesting that you add different paths for our character.
For example, I’m currently a cleaner lvl3 which pays $188 a
day and I’m building my stats towards becoming a dishwasher which will give me
$200 a day. To become a dishwasher I need a predetermined amount of stats
(700str/500def/600spd). What if we had 2 other choices of jobs which pay $200 a
day with different stats but with the same average requirement? Players
wouldn’t be all built the same.
I’m still just beginning, I haven’t seen what you’ve done in
other prisons and I might be wrong, but I’m guessing it’s pretty much the same.
More jobs is a good idea, and those, like amenities and avatar features will definitely be added down the road. Stats are just base stats though, so your weapons, armor and cell can really alter how your stats are in a battle, not to mention a lot of people don't seem to train anyways.
Bottom line: I don't think similar jobs is causing a "similar-stat" epidemic
All I do is train. xD
ThyWhis...Well maybe not, but we all eventually work towards that next paying job on
the list.
I like to play tanks in rpgs, in this game though, I often have to switch my
stat distribution in order to follow the job list. I know I don't have to get
that next job, but it's a goal I like to achieve. Having more then one job for
the same salary would satisfy this natural need for custom stats.
Agreed.
