Prison Riots?

If I ran a prison and it turned into a riot, I'd lock the place down.

After that I would advise everyone to disperse back to their cells.

If they didn't, two surprises would happen.

First, the fire sprinkler system would start, after the water tanks were replaced with mace.

After that's sprayed what it needs to, then the prison swat team goes in.

If the inmates were armed with firearms, live ammo would be used.

If they were just doing the usual rio & ruckus, less lethal ammo would be used.

Either way, shortly after kick off, all problem inmates would either be in pain & strapped up in  the infirmary, or dead (if they found the prison gun supply).

Could have a set percentage of how many inmates need to be attacking in that certain prison each hour/half hour, if someone attacks multiple times then those attacks stack to the meter, but also 'doube their points' in relevance to the amount of attacks to move the meter.

Then maybe have a lockdown once the limit breaks....the lockdown could randomly block off the yard, the infirmary, games room, marketplace, etc. At that stage, the warden's office could be out of bounds (except for the links to buy favours/respected from the rap sheet - keep those active during lockdown, cos I tried to buy favors & respected at seperate times, but did the usual gym, then crimes, failed one and ended up in infirmary having to wait 20mins before I could buy the upgrades for my account...) and say you fail a crime, you don't go to the infirmary or isolation for a failure, but different fails come up like the 11 nerve Arizona prison drunk crime, if you fail he beats you down to 1hp and 0 stamina & you're unconscious till the next tick, or the isolation failure crimes could have the prison guards coming along and either beating you down the same, or removing you from the lockdown (don't know if I like the later).

Maybe have the midday high sun in Arizona affecting it more so with a lower pecentage for the lockdowns, New Jersey the evenings, Putnam in the morning. Then Louisiana mid afternoon/early evening...

I guess you would need the majority of the inmates in the prison to co-operate and start the riot otherwise if you commit a riot with not enough people then you just end up in isolation without any rewards or you can get lucky and be rewarded for you gamble.

In that case put in a feature with the gangs for taking control of a prison via a riot =P

Control of the prison making the gang money, be it a % of what gets bought on the market or what not...

Discounted items in the market....

i agree that we should be able to steal amenities from wardens office. but without punishments cause they are harsh. i think mufasa can do this as a crime.

I really like this idea. I agree if you can get enough prisoners to work together you can start a riot. I do think the warden's office should be raidable(word?) a this time, makes it worth the effort and time to stage a riot. But the penalty should equal the possible rewards. All those who join in the riot should stand a high% chance of being caught and locked out of the market for a peroid of time. Any items sold by that player during this time would go to the warden. So if you have large items up for sale, you would be less inclined to join in the riot. Just my thoughts, but love the idea!!

I agree with dragonlord any punishment should reflect the potential rewards, so long as the riots don't become to commonplace. Just a thought, should the entire prison be raidable not just the wardens office? People get a bit precious about their items, but it is prison and the gangs are already starting to run the place.
