Prisonblock's Intellectual Competition... who said nerdiness isn't sexy... ;D
PogMaThoinim pretty sure its one answar for one question man lol
Funny how quickly Google can change someones mind
The Sky TV programme 'inside a lightning bolt' said that lighting strikes the earth at an average of like 9,000,000 times a day so can anyone do the math on that???
just a bit of info that there are more then 120 lightning storms happening on earth at any one time!!! You should check this programme out... it is actuallly really interesting
... but ye so the sum works out at 86,400 seconds in a day so 900,000/86,400 which works out as 100 a second... me thinks??? i am still really drunk so i hope i make sense!!
And guys you can google that and u will get a million different answers and they are all an average... But if ya think about it then the likes of a big hurricane or something that could happen one year but might not happen another year... And the more i think about it how do they work that out because each storm is different and to take an average of some areas??? People these days use too many math calculations to make a educated guess....( not being a hypocrite at all with the above math
) but as the good saying goes... Science is either pure irafutable fact, or just best guess!!! This took me like 20 mins to write so i hope you read it all!!

100 times per second;
Lightning can strike over a thousand times in one storm. So, lightning strikes the earth over a million times a day
edit: there should be more questions that can't be answered by Google to make this funner
