This has definitely been suggested before, usually along the lines of a chatroom. Or people suggesting a page for posting market advertisements.

And I'm fairly sure Mufasa even showed us a screenshot of something like this which never really got round to being in the game.

Anyways I was thinking about it. And still think it would be a good addition to PB. Basically a page where we can see posts from other inmates. 'Want to sell XXX, quick!' / 'Bootleg Joe - seen in yard!' / 'Just been a firesale!!' etc..

 - An option to choose which prisons you want to see posts from (Most of us would rather not see NJ rants)

 - Respected prisoners have their names in bold or made slightly clearer.

 - Maybe catagories - market - random - etc..

 - Fees for posting ?

Think this could reduce the stupid amounts of threads we get every time something happens on the block. Not to mention there has been plenty of times I wanted to sell something, but didn't think it was worthy enough to actually create a new market thread for.

But yeah, I know this has definitely been discussed before so the idea may have been shot down already. But I couldn't find the thread.

If implemented, i'd personally rather have to pay a fee. that would slow down lower levels a tiny bit. But good suggestion. +1

I think that sometimes it's discouraging to look through the marketplace since most threads don't get to the point in the title, but with the noticeboard the post could be limited to a certain amount of characters, and to make the noticeboard more organized, maybe have categories for posts, like "item trade", "amenity sale", "need amenity", "run needed", "going on run", etc.?

Just suggestions if you were to ever decide to implement it.

Mu, sorry this is a bit off topic, but I noticed it on your link. The "Gangs" links. The My gang, known gangs and top gangs. Is this a glimpse into a possible future addon? I always thought a gang registry would be nice.

On topic, I do like the idea, though just by itself would seem a bit redundant. Perhaps "something" to spice it up would sell the idea better. I don't know.

Gangs are supposed to be implemented into the game hence the yard and gangs owning sections of the yard(as talked about in other threads) But as I see it, it would be hard to implement unless we have established gangs that are going to work together with staff as to how this would actually work to the gangs advantage/disadvantage.

hmmm maybe your status bar on the meebo thingy-me-jiggy could be used like that... for friends... i don't really understand the meebo thing but maybe that part where you can put your status could work like that and then you would only see your friends and not every tom dick and harry's.... cause that could be annoying...
