You didn't get my point -- The American attitude especially the one displayed by that video is nothing more than wanting to erase language and culture. Where as, where I come from, not only is there an official native tongue, but many people are fluent in other common languages, like English, and French. There's plenty of people that come there from foreign lands, we never say to any of them "LEARN ARABIC!!!", of course they'll learn it, and if they don't out of arrogance, then yes, they are in the wrong for that. But it appears, the American way is not that of logic, but that of American Supremacy, people have the attitude of why should I have to hear or read Spanish? Why do people speak other languages here? It should be English English English, that is bull shit to my ears.

i understand you jay but there isn't any getting around the facts learn the language or leave we don't owe anybody shit in america we fought bs wars for the world from the start people come here because they want the freedoms and where they were at they were being oppessed so if you leave your homeland do we owe you we didn't tell you to come here if you can't learn our language go back to where you come from i'm not trying to sound like an ass but come on somebody might be 50 or 60 so it's hard for them to learn than go back to where you came from i speak like four laguages i have family from cuba africa and other places i'm not trying to be a ass as i stated but this is common sense

Therefore in your opinion, older folk should not be able to migrate here, for the fact that they cannot learn English? I constantly hear this rhetoric of 'America is built from immigrants', 'American is a melting pot', yet people are discriminated against more here than anywhere else. It started from Native Americans, to Blacks, Women, and every nationality to ever migrate here in the masses. And until they rename themselves Joe, Bob, and Mike, they aint considered American. what would make you think that if you don't know the laguage of a country you want to live in they should make it easy for you and learn your laguage if you want to speak your laguage go home but in america we speak english

But my problem is the attitude of "Why SHOULD we have labels in X language too", or whatever. If my native tongue isn't English, it wont be my dominant language of comprehension (this would be quite crucial in tests, exams etc, when normally my brain would fully comprehend the concepts). Americans should get over the superiority complex of we're number one anyone else is lazy or stupid. America PROMOTES itself a certain way but when you get here the reality is VASTLY different.

i'm at home on visits i speak their native tounges i was born in america though and i respect the fact that the laguage they speak is english they don't owe my family shit or anybody elses family a thing to keep it real

You say that yet I don't think you realize the America propaganda through-out the world. America is promoted and marketed worldwide as something magnificent especially for immigrants. People come here, feel cheated by the so-called American dream and have their lives wasted, for what?
