u start with a 3x3 cell...no amen is bigger than that, so its just a matter of rearranging things

That christmas tree analogy is stupid as fuck. The cell view isn't necessarily top-down for all amens. If it were, the tree would be symmetrical, so it would be a square rather than 2x3. I think it isn't necessarily a bad suggestion, like if you have 2 metal fans and you want to put a kinect in, but you only have a vertical section left. Only problem is that once you have about a 4x5 cell, it doesn't really matter anymore because you have 1x1 amens that you can just move around to make the proper space.
