I saw a news topic yesterday, via New Scientist, which linked to this 'sorta like' IQ test http://cbstrials.com/Open/Default.aspx?B_ID=279. What's really interesting about this test, is that you will be able to determine your brain strengths and weaknesses. But most importantly, if you register to their website http://www.cambridgebrainsciences.com, you'll be able to redo these tests for free; training your weaknesses.

The IQ test on the first link consists of 12 'pillars', which overall takes about 30 mins to complete.

Understanding how the brain functions is actually one of my favorite topics, and one thing I love about their site since it's a university based website, is how they describe what each of their test measures; which you don't necessarily get on other IQ development websites ( like luminosity ). Instead of just knowing that you're good ( or not good ) at remembering ifferent patterns for example, you'll now know why and what exactly this demands to your brain. It's not fully descriptive, but anyone who's a bit curious or inquisitive will be able to make more ample research based on what was written, if they so wish to. And, like I said, if you consider any of your performances to be less than satisfying, or if you simply wish to augment your brain performance, I think their website may be a good tool for you.

I guarantee you'll learn more about yourself just by doing the 12 pillar test. I know I did.

Interesting, ill check them out.

50% of the PB community dont even have the IQ to tie their goddamn shoes though.

EDIT: I cant seem to register, the site is pretty laggy (freezing), or is that just me, anyone?

yeah it does spike from time to time... quite often I should say. Once loaded though, you should be able to start the pillar test without any interruptions

Your results are calculated individually based on everyone's best performance on their site. So the results are a bit bias since you can repeat their tests at will. Even so, on my first try, I found out I was next to retarded in most of their 'planning' tests, but I'm off the charts when it comes to their 'concentration' tests. They don't number your IQ like a classical test.

"Close to retarded"! Yeah I never put that faith into all kinds of IQ tests anyway, even though theyre fun to do, some things can never be "put down" on a paper like that
