this thread is for me to teach & share what i call "unknown" wisedom. pretty much things people dont realize, arent taught in school, ancient teachings etc. this thread will range from anywhere from anatomy & geology to history & astronomy.

most stuff i've learned comes from listening to all kinds of people & of course books. some of these things may seem far fetched & eye opening. i will update it every so often (when the thread is dying & questions have been answered about each fact)

I would also like for you guys to share your knowledge as well (try to make it as short & concise as possible) & i hope you guys enjoy !

1st. the truth behind the earth's continents

How many continents are there on the planet earth?

this may seem like a simple question but i can guarantee %98 of people will get this question wrong. most people would say 7, but 7 is wrong.There are only 6 continents. let me explain :

1st, theory suggest that all the continents were once unified in one big land mass called "pangea". if you look at all the continents they resemble puzzle pieces,like they can fit together. due to plate techtonics they no longer are unified.

2nd. what makes a continent a continent? is a large mass of land surrounded by water (if not large then it wil be considered an island).

3rd. ALL continents BEGIN & END with the letter "A" (think about it  ).

why does ALL continents begin & end with the letter "A" ? (who exactly named the continents are stil in mystery or atleast to me) but they realized the continents were once unified. the letter "A" is the begining of the alphabet. they didnt know what continents broke off 1st, 2nd etc & being all the continents were once unified they chose the letter "A" to begin & end with the naming of each continent, they way of acknowleding the unification of the continents with them all begining & ending with the letter "A" shows they all were 1st & equal since they all broke apart from each other.

* with the above iniformation you now have, can you tell me how many continents there really are & name them ? *

extra facts :

yes, you guessed it, europe is not a continent. How can europe possibly be a continent

Europe is not a continent. in fact, africa used europe as a prison. the word europe, literally means, land of caves & hills

also, the olympic logo, they 7 rings. the 7 rings represent the "7 continents" but as we all now know there should be 6 rings in that logo
