What if the OP was always on top once it gets to the other pages?

on first page it should look normal but once it hits second page and beyond, maybe put it on top of the other posts with a big line or space seperating it (so newer users understand its the OP) and labeling it Original Post.

so users can read it straight away when they click on it in the sub forum.

Nah ive seen forums like this and it's too confusing

What about if you put it in a box? where you click it and it reveals it?
