Is it best to move around a lot and dig?  Or is it just as likely to find items if I dig in one place?

Should I try to find corners of the yard that not many other inmates have visited?  Or does it not really matter how picked over a given location is?

I'm trying to find parts for the time machine, but getting discouraged as I've made dozens of trips and had no luck.

pretty sure the only thing moving around gets you is a little bit more cash. digging up items has as much chance of success if you dig it 1 spot or 100.
