of course i haven't found either ring, so maybe i'm the wrong person to give any advice on that

if u dig in 1 spot sometimes u will get an item just less cash, but more than likely it wont be the fucking item ur looking for anyways and u will still leave very discouraged i gave up yesterday. highly discouraged bout the lack of injectors and power rings in the yard

I dig one spot 3 times. If I find an item in say 2 of those digs, i keep digging. If I find a good item like a rarer machine part, I'll give it a couple extra digs. I believe there are sweet spots that yield a higher percentage of items than others. However, when I found my ring, it wasn't from digging the same hole over and over.

Thats great advice but the same thing happened when i found my ring. It was just sitting around
