Try Tootsie Roll for bumps.

Ive got 1 12" Sony Explode with 600 watt amp (350 rms). It could kick more, but it gets the job done.

Then, I have 2 6x9 sony explode 3 way speakers with 200 watt split (80 rms). These babies fill in whatever kick the sub doesnt.

Finally, got my front pussy 6.5" Kenwood 3 ways with stock power head attachments clocked at 50 watts each (26 rms).

I need a better alternator. My lights dim with each beat if Im stopped. Cant turn on the stereo without the car being on cause it drains the battery in minutes.

 hmmm id say get a better amp . but im no expert. im not too big on explodes. thier Semi wallmart speakers. all my friends have problems with them . but hey what you have wil lget you by.. id ssay when you get alil extra change go for JL audio or MTX  . alpine makes good amps for the low low . best quality is rocksford fosgate by far -they get pricy.

Yeah, Ive heard a lot of complaints with explodes, but they work fine for me. Maybe because my system is lower midranged. They are cheap, effective, and I can go up to 1300 watts if need be. My philosophy is spending money on brand name is pointless unless you have a lot of money to blow. I dont. Instead, I take focus off of brand name and put it elsewhere. For instance, the speaker amp I got is only possible because of my cutbacks. Also, my head unit (was) top of the line when I got it. Highest quality available Pioneer head without breaking into the touchscreen/DVD heads. That allows me a range of customization others couldnt dream of.

Im not really interested in expanding cause any further expansion would totally break my car. Im pushing it as it is. As soon as I get a new car, thats gunna change.

 these fi speakers i want are compotition so thier like 300 a 12' but im just trying to drown my boyz sound to prove to them that my one fi 12 will drown out thier 2 jl 12's . And i guess your right about the brand name, Speakers are oppinionated and dont let any1 tell you different my frend

Yuppers. My head is a Pioneer DEH-6 series (dont remember the exact model). There are better ones available right now, but I bought this 4 years ago. At that point, it was the best non-touchscreen. Nobody wanted touchscreens back then cause they blew. Not the case today.

Yeah, sound systems are very oppininated. I personally am a big fan of Kenwood. They have arguably the best possible equipment for the lowest possible price. Kenwood's stuff is usually about half that of the big names, and the quality difference isnt even noticable.

I use to be a Pioneer guy, hence why my head is Pioneer. Recently, though, their stuff has followed the others with price increase and no real quality increase. My next car is gunna be tricked completely with Kenwoods.

& 4 darth . yess kenwood is Real good but im not too too sure about thier subs. Thier heads are good as hell and if yor pioneer head unit has lasted four years then that tells you somthin (i figure you got an alarm system) and In head units its up in the air personaly i like the touch screens  jensen/poneer/kendwood/alpine. Subwoofer is stricktly MTX/JL/FI/ROcksford fosgate.                   mtx makes really good 6x9 / 6x8(front door speakers)

good thing is that my stepp dad owns a commercial business so i get 60% off all MTx KIcker sound shit. il tell you that mtx blows kicker out the water . kicker is just to hyped up i think cuas thier name .
