Its impossible to predict earthquakes, one CAN notice an increase of seismic activity but to predict them with a great precision is pretty much impossible.. although its possible to theoretically compare patterns, every X amount of years and theyre usually right.

The San Andreas fault is an e.g; we can expect an earthquake in the near future... will fuck some serious shit up aswell..
