With the video game industry being flooded with material, there are many games that deserve notice but receive none, and many that are hyped up, but are truly shit in disc-form. 2 games that I believe are receiving undeserved attention are Halo 4 and the upcoming Elder Scrolls MMO. Halo 4, from what I have seen, will contain more awe-inspiring environments than 3 (yay), but that's not saying much. 343 has been saying "oh, we're upgrading this feature that was implemented poorly in 3", even though it was addressed in Reach. Why ignore Reach? It's like people are just going to play it because it's the new Halo game, even though it has made few improvements on the previous entry. The Infinite thing is a great idea and all, but in all honesty, it's essentially the same multiplayer with a minor tweak. If someone wants to provide their opinion of it, and how it's a big deal, I'd be happy to listen.

As for the Elder Scrolls, Bethesda deserves to fail. It became the douchebag of the mmo industry when it took away Interplay's rights to the Fallout MMO. I hope Bethesda goes under, then has to resort to selling the Elder Scrolls rights to Popcap. It would serve them right.

Would you care to explain why you think it will be a good game? Like, what aspects do you feel are being improved upon? It wouldn't be as difficult to make a game AS GOOD AS Halo 3 as it would to make a game BETTER than it. There's a major difference. A sequel should seek to improve upon the previous entr(y/ies), not just ride the lightning (Batman Arkham City vs. MW2).

I never finished 3 either, and I didn't start New Vegas. I don't like the way Bethesda has done the series; there are so many things that could've been improved on in the many years between 2 and 3, but it was just turned into an FPS. Turn-based was the shit. You have 3 raiders 2 steps from you, and 10 Action Points; how do you fuck their shit up before you run into an unpleasant foursome? Fallout 3: run backward and shoot. Tactics sucked ass, but I try to forget it exists. As for GTA, the series has done fairly well with the same basic format; I don't quite understand why people would be too excited about it, and I can't remember anyone I know bringing it up. Saints Row is just weird, I don't know where to begin on it. I guess the novelty of being a gangster in a pink teddy-bear suit is just too appealing to some people.
