i recently installed ubuntu 12.04 to dualboot with my windows 7, been very happy with it so far. The only problem I have had is canon does not support it yet for my printer driver. For a free windows alternative, it's pretty cool I think.

Google Chrome OS is a Linux-based operating system designed by Google to work exclusively with web applications. Google announced the operating system on July 7, 2009 and made it an open source project, called Chromium OS, that November.[3][4]

ubuntu is basically the interface to a linux shell. There are several other linux offshoots that are comparable to ubuntu. they say it is impervious to a virus because every filesystem modification to the computer requires authentication.

How do you get it?

Does it include deleting Windows OS?

Ubuntu comes free, it's linux based GUI OS, yet it's not a competitive rival for Windows but people say it's way more stable
