That seems like a bad argument. And this isn't a knock about paypal, it is what it is, and it's obviously not going away. But the fact that 12k eds = $60 is because that is the price set by the people that sell items for paypal, not the people that sell in game only.

An XBOX Elite might sell for $100, which is equivalent to 20k eds using that math. Is an Elite only worth 72mil in game cash just because someone else will sell 1k eds for $5 on paypal?

also true i personally i think there are two options:-

1. the prices will keep going higher and higher on the demand of things and people prepared to pay them if one high level has alot of rare items him/her can then make them rare which makes the price higher and so on,

2. mu brings out more for favours which then sends prices crashing because they are more common and new items come out which makes the whole cycle start again.....its a never ending circle.

but basically if you wana be the best on the game and get high you need to paypal items,....thats the fact of it,if you dont wana do that then it will take a long while to drum up the amout of ed's needed for items.

I know how to settle this, lets make a survay to find out how much money each person has contributed to the game, hanako care to start by copying and pasting your transactions record ?

no one will sell 3k eds for $5, everyone sells them 1k for $5 or every now and then you see people sell 1k ed and 1k water for $5. That makes the current market value of EDs to be $5 for 1k. Besides, people dont sell elites for 20k eds, hell, the last thread for a sale of one has a 25k ed bid, one thread has someone asking for 5 clean toilets for one. That is the point im making. it's cheaper to buy using paypal most of the time.

yeah, i corrected that to say 1k eds for $5, but the math was right. it's not cheaper to buy paypal unless you're buying all of your items that way too. and props to the guys that are making money by selling items, but that's one thing that's readily available and free in the game.

Its all about time, what is my time worth. How long would it take me to aquire 25k eds (and looking back its was 25k eds AND 15k waters) without paypal? Plus total value.... lets use the ps3 situation. $35 paypal or 12k eds. I buy for 35 bucks, then find someone to sell it to for eds, lets say I dont get 12k, we will be more reasonable and say 8k. I sell those eds, I just made 5 bucks. Paypal is cheaper.

Either way, my statment still stands, lower in game prices and paypal use will go down.

or raise paypal prices and in-game use will go up

but a lot of people carnt get the items to buy the rare amen's , so then they wouldnt be able to get the amen's at all

they wouldnt be able to afford in game cash or paypal
