Before I moved to Belize, I went to close my bank account with a well known U.S. bank. I won't say any names, but it rhymes with Bells Cargo...

Anyway, due to the FDIC stipulations against fiat currency, the intrinsic value of the amount of paper currency I deposited throughout the years into my account equaled about 60% of the total balance of my account. The bank proceeded to tell me that I can only withdraw 42% of my balance, due to the intrinsic value of that paper currency being 0.05% of what the actual denomination represented. So needless to say, they told me this information after I had signed my closure and release, foregoing and releasing the funds at its intrinsic value.

Long story short? I got fucked. Fuck Bells Cargo.
