David Carradine played "grasshopper"
being taught the ways and skills of a Shaolin priest and martial arts expert.
Legend has it that my namesake, Bodhidharma, began the training of the Shaolin priests.
Originally they were going to cast Bruce Lee in the part, but went with Carradine because they wanted
some who appeared more serene.
