You know, I was pretty sure that this favor earning thing is busted up. Still, I went and tried to download this one program to earn 4 favors. And what do I get? A virus. Yeah. Luckily my firewall was able to destroy it. So WHAT WERE YOU THINKING putting some virus installing into game to get favors!?

Seriously. This thing is so bad that I HAD to make a thread about it.

Edit: Now I gotta restart computer for the virus to go away.

I see that game is in BETA (just read from wiki) but still, this kind of thing surely gets hate on this game.

Your post is dumb on so many levels I don't know where to begin.

I don't create the offers that gives favors. If you weren't smart enough to notice, they go to different sites. If one caused you to get a virus (which is possible, yet unlikely), shouldn't you be reporting it? Yet you made no mention of what it was?

Yeah, you are right about that last part. But the whole thing that you gotta go to multiple sites and install stuff, register and all, is most likely going to give viruses and other nasties. That site was:

Dude, iWon is NOT going to give you a virus. Do you know how big that company is? Most likely your anti-virus software gave you a false positive, or their shit has adware in it (which is annoying, but legal and always outlined BEFORE you install something if you actually read it).

As for the favors... once again... they are different companies. Do you not know how this works? Do you not see that there's a dropdown which lists different companies to get favors from?

I did noticed that those are all different companies and that (at least) some sites don't give viruses. The thing is that same firewall what reported virus is one that has blocked many trojans from destroying my computer. I am pretty sure that it is not giving any false reports. As for adware... for that I am not sure, actually. I didn't notice anything about it when I was installing the program though.

It may be that my firewall detected virus because it had adware in it... I shall go and try it again, see what happens... If I was incorrect I be sure to post it here.

Well, I disabled firewall and then installed it... computer didn't crashed, that's good... So uh, I guess I was wrong, then. I apologize.

I didn't received my favors when I installed it though. I guess I try and... uninstall and install again? Again apologies.

Ehm, seems like that didn't worked too well. Still didn't received favors when I did everything I needed to do...

Not sure what to do... this new problem isn't related into this thread...

I guess I just let it be. I can get 1 favor/day by voting, guess that is enough.
